Privacy Policy

Versus ("we", "us", or "our") is a tournament tracking application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

We also store the tournament data you create — player names, match scores, and tournament settings — linked to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and identify your account so your tournaments are saved and synced across devices.
• To display your email address in the app so you know which account is signed in.
• To associate tournament data with your account so only you can modify it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Supabase — our backend database provider, used to store tournament data securely. Data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

PeerJS / WebRTC — used only for optional real-time live sharing between devices. No match data is stored on the peer relay server; it only routes the connection.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your tournament data is stored in Supabase and in your browser's local storage. You can delete any tournament at any time from within the app. If you would like all your data permanently removed, contact us using the details below.

5. Security

Access to your tournament data is protected by Row-Level Security policies — only your authenticated account can read or modify your data. The application uses HTTPS for all network communication.

6. Children's Privacy

Versus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
